It enables HSG-students to experience and exchange international values first-hand. Ask your questions - it’s your turn! BUSINESS HIVE – CHALLENGE YOURSELF! Sonntag, 4. Dezember 2011
Do you want to stand out? Do you want to show what you are capable of? Challenge yourself!
Management Group is hard at work on Business Hive, an international student competition, which is going to be organized for the second time in Ljubljana, Slovenia at the Faculty of Economics on December 15 and is to last through to December 19.
What is Business Hive?
Business Hive is a five-day international project which gives foreign students, as well as students from Slovenia, a superb chance to take part in current, real-life business challenges.
The core of Business Hive will be the business challenges a selection of noteworthy companies are currently dealing with and it will be up to the participating students to find a solution to these. The students will work in teams made up of four members and will compete with the opposing teams in one of the given categories. By the end of the project, a winning team will be chosen in each category and will be rewarded with a symbolic award and a company recommendation.

They say that experience is the best teacher. Business Hive is even more than that. Along with the teaching, Business Hive will give you a practical feel of how teams in companies innovate, create, work under pressure and organize. It will offer you a unique opportunity to find out what you are really capable of, which are your strengths and weaknesses. We are offering you an opportunity to test yourself in multicultural (business) environment and networking with people of different professions from all over the world. You are not sure about the International Tours the Student Union offers or you want some more information about ACT, Magellan and EuroTour?
From the 29th of November till the 1st of December, the International days will take place at the University of St. Gallen.
The International Days are three days where we present our tours and also you can enjoy typical food from the countries we will organize our exchange tour with. On Thursday 6pm there will be a presentation at the Student Union (Guisanstrasse 9) where you get all the information you want and if you have any further question, please do not hesitate to ask any of our organizational teams, we will have a information desks during the International days or contact us via Mail at:

3 KONTINENTE - 3 LÄNDER - 3 TOUREN
Jedes Jahr ermöglicht die Studentenschaft der Universität St. Gallen insgesamt sechzig HSG-Studenten die Teilnahme an einem von drei internationalen Austauschprojekten:
- Asian Culture Transfer - Mit dem asiatischen Kulturraum setzt sich ACT auseinander, die Destination des nächsten Jahres lautet Thailand.
- EuroTour - Wie der Name schon schon sagt, widmet sich dieses Projekt dem Austausch innerhalb Europas. 2012 geht es ab nach Estland.
- Magellan - Und die Teilnehmer von Magellan reisen zusammen nach Lateinamerika, genauer gesagt nach Lima in Peru.
Da der interkulturelle Austausch im Vordergrund steht, bestehen die International Tours aus zwei Teilen:
Im kommenden Frühjahr werden jeweils zwanzig HSG-Studenten in eines der Gastländer reisen und dort zehn Tage voller spannender Aktivitäten verbringen. Zurück in der Schweiz erwartet sie zusammen mit den Studenten der Partneruniversität ebenfalls ein aufregendes Programm.

go beyond - new paths to success 2011 Freitag, 4. November 2011
AIESEC St.Gallen, oikos, CIVIC, The Hub, die Studentenschaft (SHSG) und das Master Programm International Affairs and Governance (MIA) freuen sich, euch am diesjährigen go beyond Event vom 22. bis 24. November 2011 ein spannendes Programm mit interessanten Workshops, Präsentationen und der Public Sector Fair zu präsentieren. Im Fokus steht die Idee, den Studierenden der HSG eine Plattform zu bieten, mit deren Hilfe sie mit Organisationen und Unternehmen mit einer starken internationalen und öffentlichen Ausrichtung in Kontakt treten können.
Wir laden euch alle herzlich dazu ein, an «go beyond – new paths to success 2011» teilzunehmen und in einen aktiven Austausch mit den anwesenden Organisationen und Unternehmen zu treten. Nutzt die Chance wertvolle Informationen zu sammeln und Kontakte zu knüpfen, welche euch den späteren Berufseinstieg in den öffentlichen, nachhaltigen und internationalen Tätigkeitsbereich erleichtern können.

In jedem Semester organisieren wir die Study Abroad Fair, um unsere Studierenden über internationale Austauschprogramme zu informieren. Unsere Gaststudierenden tragen ganz wesentlich zum Erfolg dieses Anlasses bei! Die Study Abroad Fair ist eine gute Gelegenheit für die Gaststudierenden, ihre Heim-Universitäten unseren HSG-Studierenden, die an einem Austauschsemester interessiert sind, vorzustellen.

In our efforts to send more HSG-students abroad to international universities and to bring in more international students to St.Gallen, we organise a Study Abroad Fair each semester. At this fair exchange students will represent their home countries and universities. It is a wonderful occasion to learn about international study opportunities and guest students contribute to the success of this event!
